Abstract

The Muhadditheen has considered both, the certificate and the text (Matan), necessary to check the authenticity of Hadith. There are rules by which the text of any Hadith can be tested along with the certificate. Sometimes a Hadith meets all the authenticity criteria according to its certificates, but in its text, there is a mistake from Ravi which does not make his Hadith at the level of acceptance. So, the scholars of Hadith also considered “Dirayat” to declare the Hadith as an authentic one. “Dirayat” helps to test any Hadith on the parameters of reason, observation, and experience.
According to scholars, the text of the Hadith should be researched not only on the basis of reasoning but also from all angles.
In this article, an attempt has been made to highlight the importance of knowledge in the Islamic principle of research and it has been presented that the decision to accept or reject any hadith can be made after researching both the certificate and the text. These two things are inseparable from each other
