Abstract

Quran is the book of miracles. The more it is quarried the more it gave the pearls of knowledge. Alphabetical openings of some chapters of Quran are one of those confidential points that drew attention of prolific scholars of Quran throughout the centuries; as they carry some meanings unknown to men. That’s the reason، too much difference of views is found; as almost all of the scholars have opined and had their stands on certain speculative grounds. In this research paper I have streamlined all those important commentaries pertaining to the alphabetical openings of different chapters of Quran and their relationship with some furtive commands of Allah. The scholars are divided into two; namely the ancient and the modern. The article reflects randomly vision of both the parties. Methodology of the research is descriptive. The article is prepared hoping that it would add some knowledge to the domain of Quran’s research.
