Abstract

Before being known as Prophet and preacher of Islam, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) was known as a trader. Respect and Goodwill, in a society, are acquired by true principles, truthfulness, honesty, and trustworthiness. This was the reason that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) had assumed personal integrity and goodwill in Arab Society, before inviting infidels and non-believers of Mecca to Islam at the mount of Faran. Even today, the goodwill of a trader and company is being given great importance. The traders played a vital role in the preaching and propagation of Islam. Therefore, in this article, I will discuss some of those Muslim traders who had not only proved to be good and honest traders but effective preachers of Islam. My article consists of the following topics:

  1. Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) as a Trader.
  2. Preaching and propagation of Islam by Muslim traders.
  3. Propagation & preaching of Islam in Africa by Muslim traders.
  4. Preaching and propagation of Islam in China and Central Asia by Muslim traders.
  5. Preaching and propagation of Islam in Malaysia by Muslim traders.
  6. Preaching and propagation of Islam in Philippine by Muslim traders.
  7. Preaching and propagation of Islam in the Sub-continent by Muslim Traders.
  8. Suggestions.
