Abstract

Islam is not only universal in its nature but also dynamic regarding the ever emerging issues of this temporal world. The principle of movement is embedded within its teachings. Islamic scholars, since the very first day are busy in addressing the emerging difficulties in various facets of life. Since the very first day, the scholars are busy in addressing the challenges of the changing scenario of the world. Prize bonds are considered to be a support to the economy of a country. But the question of its legitimacy in view of Islamic teachings is under discussion. Various scholars have opined on the issue. Allama Ghulām Rasūl Saīdī has also given weightage to the issue in his writings. In this article, his views regarding the issue will be analyzed.
