Reform Services of Syed Aḥmad Shahīd during declination of Muslims in Sub-continent

Abstract

Reason of sending Prophets is to call upon the people towards message of Allah (S.W.T) which is the utmost virtue in Islam .In this regard holy Prophet was the last Messenger who preached and called people towards Allah. The Companions also devoted their lives for promotion and implementation of this noble cause. As result Islam spread over the Arabian Peninsula.

This mission of “Dawah” and reforms continued till now and scholars devoted themselves for the continuity of this mission effectively and consistently. This research paper gives a precise overview of the services rendered by the Syed Ahmed Shaheed for the Muslims of subcontinent in terms of social and moral reforms. The descriptive and analytical method has been employed for the collection and analysis of data. Literature review gives a picture that when Muslims of subcontinent abandoned true teachings of Islam, Syed Ahmed through his dedicated role brought positive change in the social and religious framework even in the period of decline. Facts about o life history of Syed Ahmed Shaheed also indicates the fact that a man can get achievement in every field of life, especially in “Dawah” and reforms, if he has courage and firm faith in Allah (S.W.T). Study suggests that servings of Syed Ahmed Shaheed should be brought up individually, collectively and even to Government level, so that new generation can get inspiration and motivation from such historical heroes of Islam who continued true message of Prophet (SAW) even in the time of decline.
