The rapid advancement of modern technology has profoundly impacted various facets of human life while simultaneously introducing complex challenges, notably cybercrime. Activities such as financial fraud, hacking, data theft, and the dissemination of illicit material not only harm individuals but also pose significant threats to social and moral values. This study examines the prevention of cybercrime through the lens of Islamic teachings, proposing a normative framework to address these contemporary challenges. Sharia, with its comprehensive guidance, ensures the protection of human dignity, security, and well-being, emphasizing the responsible use of technology. The research underscores the critical importance of robust legal measures and ethical education, derived from Islamic principles, to combat cybercrime effectively. Drawing upon Quranic injunctions, particularly from Surah An-Nur and Surah Al-Hujurat, it extracts foundational principles for safeguarding privacy and ensuring integrity in digital interactions. The traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which stress honesty, truthfulness, justice, and respect for the rights of others, are highlighted as essential pillars for cybercrime prevention. The article delineates prevalent forms of cybercrime, analyzes their socio-ethical ramifications, and offers practical solutions grounded in an Islamic perspective. In conclusion, the research asserts that adherence to Islamic teachings is imperative at both individual and societal levels, as it is indispensable for preventing cybercrime and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability in the digital era.
