Abstract

In the present era, this dissertation presents an analytical study of the required role and responsibilities of teachers in religious seminaries, as well as the thought of Syed Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi. It examines the qualities that enable a teacher to play an effective role in society. An effort has been made to determine the intellectual, practical, moral, and missionary responsibilities of teachers in contemporary times.

Although partial research already exists on aspects of this topic, no comprehensive analytical work has been conducted on understanding the perspective of Syed Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi, who, for half a century, fulfilled the duties of education, teaching, and preaching across Muslim and non-Muslim countries in both the East and the West.

This dissertation comprises two main discussions:

  • The first section addresses the required role of teachers in the present age.
  • The second section examines the responsibilities of contemporary teachers in religious seminaries.

At the end of the dissertation, a summary of the discussions, along with conclusions and recommendations, has been compiled, followed by a list of sources and references.
