Abstract

The people were waiting for the last messenger of Allah since Moses & Jesus (AS) period till the day of dissidence of Muhammad PBUH. Especially Jesus Christ was forecasting that He will lead the world and guide them to the righteous path. According to the Good news of Moses and Jesus Christ, Allah (SWT) revealed His Word to Muhammad PBUH who conveyed the message of His Lord to all the creatures. According to this prediction who will be the last prophet of Allah other than Muhammad PBUH? Even the world knows that the complete code of life after Moses was given only to the last Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

The Gospel of Barnabas clarified that the last prophet will be from Ismail’s tribe not from the Izhaq's tribe, but the change in this prediction is a clear interruption of Priests in the Bible. The Gospel of Murqus also emphasizes that Jesus was a prophet of Allah and came to prepare the ground for the last prophet Muhammad PBUH.

Prophethood is one of the three basic faiths of Islam; Touheed, Risalat and AaKhirat. The faith that Muhammad PBUH is the last prophet of Allah is such a critical issue on which Islam has particularly emphasized and has given high prestige to it. This faith has the status to such a degree that a person cannot enter Islam or remain a Muslim without this belief.

This article provides information regarding the finality of the last Prophet of Allah, as well as indicates the responsibility of Muslim Umma in this connection in the light of Islamic teachings.
