This research paper deals with the analysis of writing the Biography of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the Arabic language during the Ottoman Caliphate. In the history of Islam, the biography of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has supreme importance in the context of the religious, cultural, political, economic and social system. This is the reason why Muslims have preserved all the life of the Prophet (PBUH) in writing according to their religious requirements.
In this regard, the Ottoman Caliphate has an outstanding significance in the evolution of the books on Sirah. In this glorious era, biographers have presented various aspects of the biography of the Holy Prophet of Islam in a very elegant and beautiful style. In addition to Turkish, they have written in Persian and Arabic. Among the Arabic language, biographers are Ayesha Ba’uniya, Shahabuddin Qastalani, Muhammad bin Yusuf Salehi, Ali bin Ibrahim Halabi Shafi’i, Shahabuddin Khafaji, Ibrahim bin Mustafa Halabi, Shahadab-ud-Din Zarqani and Allama Yusuf bin Ismail Nabhani. They had written very important books on the subject of the Sirah in Arabic. There is a need to analyze the books of Sira written in the Arabic language in this specific era so that the way to use them in modern times can be paved. This article has been presented to meet this intellectual and scholarly need.
